Refugee.Info Hub: Providing vital information to refugees

In 2015, thousands of refugees were landing on the Greek islands every day. Information on the ground was scarce, so Google started working with the International Rescue Committee and Mercy Corps to build Refugee.Info Hub–a mobile site providing information, like where to get medical attention and how to find refugee camps. Refugee.Info continues to provide thousands of people with vital information every month. To support IRC visit rescue.org

NetHope: Providing Internet access to refugees

In response to the European refugee crisis in 2015, Google volunteers started working with NetHope engineers like llias to bring Internet access to camps throughout Greece and the Balkan region. The Internet is a necessity for refugees and it gives them hope–it means they can access information, educational resources and communicate with loved ones. To support NetHope visit nethope.org
